IFX participants are enrolled either into an intensive German language school to learn how to read, write and speak the German language or into our partner Business School/University. In the University program, students pursue either an undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree or Graduate Master’s Degree.
Students will be provided with accommodations during their participation of the program. Accommodations are shared apartments with other roommates from around the world. A full immersion into the German culture is one of the main goals of our program.
Our German International Soccer Academy enables competitive participants over the age of 18 the opportunity to play soccer for a German semi-professional/Amateur club for one full or one half season. Players are placed to train and compete with a real German club according to their level of play.
An initial evaluation period upon arrival in Germany determines club placement.
Located in the heart of Bavaria, Germany, our Pro IFX Year program enrolls each player in our partner German language institute, for intensive German language lessons for the duration of the program. Participants are placed in classes according to their level of German, whether beginning, intermediate or advanced. The language course is an integral program aspect and is the main academic component of the IFX program, enabling students to become conversational and in some cases fluent in the German language. The German language is still regarded as a leading language in the world when it comes to industry and commerce. The ability to read, write and speak German can be a huge asset in one’s future career.
German language classes include lessons covering grammar, pronunciation, conversation, and cultural subjects.
In addition to our language school option, IFX offers an undergraduate Bachelor’s degrees in International Management as well as a Master’s Degrees in Management through a top private Business School in Nürnberg, Germany.
All courses are taught in English as the universal business language. The school embraces an international mindset, with partner Universities throughout the globe and an international student body.
Although your schedule will be occupied with your language school or University courses and soccer training, Germany offers many wonderful activities to enjoy during your free time. Germans typically are very active and enjoy biking, hiking, swimming, and of course Fussball – soccer. Music, the arts, and theater are strongly supported in Germany, with many opportunities for attending local concerts, street festivals, and plays.
Weekend activities aside from soccer matches may include going for hikes, bike rides through the countryside, swimming, socializing with friends, and dancing at the discoteques.
Soccer has been Germany's top sport for almost a century and continues to have an important role in Germany in terms of culture, integration, and as a profession and hobby.
Germany has won the World Cup on 4 occasions and continues to be a soccer powerhouse on the global stage. Germany's professional football league system closely integrated with their extensive Amateur system extends to all corners of the country with opportunities for players of all levels.
German football youth development is also considered to be at the highest standard with exceptional training philosophies, experience, knowledge and facilities.
Amateur and professional clubs alike all field their own youth teams, using their facilities and resources to mold their youth players to be units of their own professional team someday, or as investments for the clubs to profit from on the sophisticated European football transfer market. This intensely competitive system has enabled the development of a stable economic soccer environment, for both professional and amateur clubs to enjoy professionally maintained facilities.
It is typical in Germany that even the smallest of clubs will have their own home including a clubhouse, stadium pitch, practice pitches, and perhaps even a fitness facility. This setup enables IFX participants to experience the “true German experience”. With top notch facilities, beautifully maintained grass fields, and perhaps the most efficient, intense, and tactically superior style, a player has no choice but to improve when in Germany.
IFX participants are placed within a competitive German football clubs fit to their level. Players are placed within a challenging football environment that allows tremendous opportunity for development. At the beginning of the program, each player is taken to various soccer trials in german football clubs to demonstrate their ability and showcase themselves to IFX German soccer club partners. The German football trainers evaluate each player on trial and decide whether or not the player would be someone they would have interest in signing to their roster for the season or half season. This process of taking players to trials with German soccer teams continues until we have found a fitting club for the player. IFX then manages the full integration of each participant plus the international transfer of each player enabling participation in official league matches.
The experience each player receives through full integration with a German soccer club is irreplaceable. Not only do participants learn German style playing methodologies, German football tactics and experience their unique training routines, but they also will experience what a German football club is all about, and that it is much more than just a team. German soccer clubs are community organizations that offer in many cases multiple sporting opportunities to both the young and old, and are a place for the community to gather, socialize, and enjoy healthy sporting activities. Through this experience, both the IFX participants and the German clubs benefit from this integration through enhanced cultural exchange of customs and traditions.
Goalkeepers have the option to get additional specific goalkeeper training on a weekly basis in addition to their regular club training. IFX Germany goalies are trained by professional goalkeeper trainers, some of which have had professional experience as a goalkeeper and goalkeeper trainer for Bundesliga clubs. Goalkeeper training drills used by professional clubs throughout Germany are orchestrated by the IFX GK trainer. For more information about the additional goalie training program and goalkeeper drills please contact us.
The IFX program takes place in Nürnberg and Fürth, Germany, two bordering cities lying approximately one hour north of the famed city of Munich.
Nürnberg, home to approximately 500,000 residents, is probably most known for and deservedly so for its romantic charm and history dating back to medieval times. The Kaiserburg sits perched on the hill at the top of the 'Altstadt', or old city center, keeping a careful watch over the winding cobblestone streets with countless cafes, restaurants and shops for locals to enjoy.
“I played for TSV Rain in the 4th league of Germany. My teammates are very experienced players who have previously played in professional leagues."
"I’ve developed a lot as a player here, and the level is very high. This year, we are currently first in the table and aiming for promotion to the Regionalliga, which is the 4th division here in Germany."
"What I like most about playing with 1. SC Feucht is the intensity and the challenge. I enjoy playing against better players in the higher teams."
